Healthy Bread Pakoda with Zero Maida Whole Wheat Bread
Ingredients:
For the Filling:
Boiled & mashed potato – 3/4 cup
Cumin – 1 tsp
Ginger (chopped) – 2 tsp
Green chili (chopped) – 1
Coriander (chopped) – 1 tbsp
Red chili powder – 2 tsp
Salt – to taste
Zero Maida Whole Wheat Bread – 4 slices
For the Batter:
Besan (gram flour) – 1 cup
Salt – to taste
Ajwain – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Water – 3/4 cup
Oil – 2 tbsp
For the Chutney:
Amchoor (dry mango powder) – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 3 tbsp
Black salt – 1 tsp
Salt – to taste
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Roasted cumin powder – 1/2 tbsp
Water – 2 cups
Instructions:
Prepare the Filling:
Mix mashed potatoes with cumin, ginger, green chili, coriander, chili powder, and salt.
Spread the mixture on two slices of bread and cover with the remaining slices.
Prepare the Batter:
Mix besan, salt, ajwain, chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric, and water until smooth.
Cook the Bread Pakoda:
Heat oil in a pan.
Dip the stuffed bread in the batter, coat evenly, and shallow-fry until golden brown.
Flip and cook until crispy on all sides.
Prepare the Chutney:
Mix all chutney ingredients and bring to a boil.
Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.
Serve:
Serve warm with the amchoor chutney.
