Aloo Jalapeno Tikki Burger with Zero Maida Burger Buns
Ingredients:
Zero Maida Burger Buns – 2
Large potatoes – 2 (boiled & mashed)
Small onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Jalapeno – 1 (finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – to taste
Fresh coriander leaves – chopped
Oil – 2 tbsp (for cooking)
Butter – for toasting buns
Green chutney – as needed
Tamarind chutney – as needed
Cucumber, tomato, onion (thinly sliced)
Lettuce leaves
Cheese slices (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Aloo Jalapeno Tikki:
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Sauté onions until golden brown, then add ginger-garlic paste.
Add jalapeno, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
Add mashed potatoes and salt. Mix thoroughly.
Add fresh coriander leaves, mix, and let cool slightly.
Shape into round patties.
Cook the Patties:
Heat remaining oil in a pan.
Shallow-fry patties until golden brown and crispy.
Prepare the Buns:
Spread butter inside the buns and toast until golden brown.
Assemble the Burger:
Spread green chutney on the bottom bun, tamarind chutney on the top.
Place lettuce, potato patty, cheese (if using), cucumber, tomato, and onion.
Cover with the top bun.
Serve:
Serve immediately with extra chutney on the side.
